HOTEL ETIQUETTE By Dr. Karen Halligan
- Be sure your pet has relieved herself prior to entering the hotel, and keep her on a leash at all times.
- Cover any furniture and beds your pet will be lying on with sheets brought from home.
- Ask the hotel if they have a list of pet sitters in case your pet is not included in your plans.
- At check-in, ask what areas are off-limits for pets and which areas are available to walk your pets in.
- Never take your pet into the dining area, bar
or pool area unless invited.
- Wipe off your pet’s feet if they get dirty prior
to entering the hotel.
- Report any damage to property immediately
and volunteer to pay any costs.
- When you leave your pet unattended, be sure to place
the Do Not Disturb sign on the door.
- Be prepared to change plans if your dog barks while you’re gone, and leave the television or radio on
for background noise.
